ADHD Assessment Process

Welcome to our ADHD assessment page. As an ADHD-CCPT certified therapist and, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and individualized assessments to help you understand your unique situation. Our ADHD assessment process is thorough and designed to offer you a clear and accurate diagnosis. While we can do assessments online through telehealth we highly recommend doing them in person. 

Step 1: Pre-Tests

Before our main meeting, you will be given some pre-tests that will take less than 20 minutes to complete. These tests are crucial as they help identify any other possible conditions or co-occurring disorders that might be influencing your symptoms.

Step 2: Comprehensive 120-Minute Meeting

During our 120-minute meeting, we will cover the following areas in depth:

Childhood and Learning Patterns:

We will explore your early childhood experiences and learning patterns to understand the developmental aspect. Looking at report cards from your youth can be helpful we welcome you to bring them to your appointment.

Family & Social History:

Understanding your family and social background provides valuable context for your symptoms and helps identify any hereditary factors.

Review of Medical & Mental Health History:

A thorough review of your medical and mental health history is essential for ruling out other conditions and understanding your overall health.

Interview Screenings or Questionnaires:

You will be provided with interview screenings or questionnaires to gather detailed information about your symptoms and their impact on your daily life.

 

Observational Interview:

An observational interview allows me to assess your behavior and responses in real-time, offering additional insights into your condition.

Step 3: Additional Follow-Up

In some cases, additional follow-up reports from significant people in your life, such as partners or parents, may be required to gain a complete picture of your symptoms and their impact.

Step 4: Written Assessment

Once the assessment is complete, you will receive a comprehensive written assessment within 1-2 weeks. This report will include detailed findings and recommendations for the next steps, helping you understand your condition and explore potential treatment options.
